No real warning but fairly quick after and good for tsunamis.

I like it because I can read it, easy to use. I would love to read or able to understand in Japanese, because their earthquake applications seems to be a lot faster than this application. Please understand that I appreciate to have this service, but seems to be slow on the alerts for some reason. Thank you for having it in English.

There are so many earthquakes in Japan that having this tool helps normalize the idea of them and seeing that on the most part, they are harmless

I like this app, Ive lived in Japan for 2 years and the last year especially theres been many earthquakes. This app has helped to separate real ones from phantom ones so I dont have any extra worry. Only reason I give it a 4 is b/c the alert is after the fact instead of an early warning system. Overall I like this app a lot :)

I lived in Hitachi, Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan for three months and had a lot of earthquakes. The only thing that I dont like about this app is that I always got the notification after the earthquake occurred, up to about ten minutes after. Its great for learning about earthquakes that arent local. I travelled to Osaka for a week and found out that there was a +7 earthquake and tsunami warning in Hokkaido. Now that I am back in the USA, its also nice keeping track of the areas where my friends live.

Easy to follow, nice map flow, quick to notify of earthquake!!!!!!!!!

Great app. Of course the earthquakes cant be predicted yet, but if you live near the shore, the tsunami warning can be a good thing to have.

Its good but it needs to notify faster I was in one earthquake and it told me 20 minutes later.

Great app! So many quakes in Japan, I have my alert set to 4 so its not going off all the time. Good information, but sometimes a little slow--makes me think I just imagined it.

Works pretty well. Passes info quickly. Easy to customize and use.

Just moved here. Grew up in California so am used to quakes. Felt the 5-pointer last night and without much hope looked for an app that could provide info . Easy to use, like the maps, well worth the price.

I found it functional for travel in this country in order to be aware of your own safety. Could be good to have in other countries too.

Its an informative app. Sometimes it posts old info. Keeps family member informed of quakes in Japan.

This app was great when I first got it. Now Im not even getting relevant warnings. I just got an alert for an earthquake in TAIWAN and Im in Ibaraki Japan... Id 5 star this app if I could get notifications for earthquakes that affect my area or at least the country I am in. Why even bother selecting my area? If the developers would spend time fixing what we are complaining about instead of using fake apple accounts to hide poor ratings wed have a good app in our hands. 1 star because it at least tells you an earthquake occurred, 3 more if they fix it, and the 5th star if it can give me a reading of what my area felt in comparison to the epicenter.

Really great, timely notifications after the fact. Sometimes just a minute after. You can plot current location although the map of the latest earthquake plots and then the current location goes away and the nearest reactor site is plotted ( nearest the latest quake ). Tsunami notifications, never saw this in action, good thing too! Good for keeping track of the shaky business!

*update: after a few months of use, this app is not useful. It sends me useless far away notifications but every time theres a real earthquake in the Tokyo area, I see no signs of it on this app. Dont buy if youre in tokyo! Just downloaded this last night, and i already see problems. Some large earthquakes arent reported and the magnitude/shindo scale listed in the app is wrong. Earthquakes that were actually 5+ are listed as 1. Notifications are sent only when youre closer to the epicenter even though youre still far enough to feel the earthquake. Ill probably delete this app soon in search of a better one.

This APP is awesome! Very detailed. Great to have if you have friends or family in Japan. Also great for traveling there. I highly recommend this APP! Shows depth, map, any warnings, ect. Thank you!
